Στα ευχάριστα νέα της ημέρας το Poor Things του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου κέρδισε το βραβείο Καλύτερης Κωμωδίας ή Μιούζικαλ στις 81ες Χρυσές Σφαίρες. Είναι το δεύτερο μεγάλο βραβείο που κερδίζει ο Λάνθιμος για την ταινία, μετά και τον Χρυσό Λέοντα που κατέκτησε στη Βενετία.

 Βραβείο για την ερμηνεία της κέρδισε και η Emma Stone ως Bella Baxter, η οποία δήλωσε: «Τόνυ, σε ευχαριστώ για το σενάριο. Γιώργο, δεν ξέρω τι άλλο να σου πω αλλά είμαι απόλυτα ευγνώμων που γνωριστήκαμε. Η Μπέλλα στην ταινία είναι σαν να παίζει σε ρομαντική κωμωδία. […] Αποδέχεται με ευκολία τα πάντα. Μένει και ζει μέσα μου», τόνισε η ηθοποιός.

 Από την άλλη, το φαινόμενο Barbenheimer συνεχίστηκε και εδώ, με την Barbie να κερδίζει το πρωτοεμφανιζόμενο βραβείο «Καλύτερου Κινηματογραφικού και Εισπρακτικού Επιτεύγματος της Χρονιάς» ενώ το Oppenheimer πήγε σπίτι του με το βραβείο της Καλύτερης Ταινίας στην κατηγορία του δράματος, εδραιώνοντας τον τίτλο που έχει για φαβορί και στα επερχόμενα Όσκαρ.

 Μάλιστα, η ταινία Oppenheimer ήταν πολυνίκης, καθώς είδε τον σκηνοθέτη της, τον Christopher Nolan, να κατακτά την πρώτη του Χρυσή Σφαίρα, ενώ ακόμη βραβεύτηκε για τις ερμηνείες Α’ & Β’ Ανδρικός αλλά και για τη μουσική επένδυση του Ludwig Göransson.

 Στην κατηγορία των σειρών με πολλαπλές επιτυχίες σάρωσαν τα Succession, The Bear και Beef, ενώ αξιοσημείωτη είναι η διπλή επιτυχία της νικήτριας ταινίας στο Φεστιβάλ Καννών, Anatomy of a Fall, η οποία εκτός του Βραβείου Ξενόγλωσσης Ταινίας, κατέκτησε και εκείνο του Καλύτερου Σεναρίου.
